Volunteer for Get Out The Vote and the Election Protection Program in Allegheny County that is being conducted by a collaboration of efforts that include Common Cause Education Fund, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Black Political Empowerment Project, New Voices Pittsburgh, First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, Freedom Unlimited, Community Intensive Supervision Program, Family Support Centers and others!
This is a visible and tangible commitment to Civil and Human Rights! We help ensure eligible voters are able to participate in our democracy while collecting data for meaningful reform so that our elections are free, fair, and accessible.
You must attend a training if you have never participated in one before. All trainings will be held at the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh located at 605 Morewood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. There will also be two webinars that you can access by a computer anywhere. There will be two staging areas on Election Day/Tuesday, November 4, 2014 to be held at Freedom Unlimited, 2201 Wylie Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15219 and at the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, 605 Morewood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
