How TeenBloc Advances Equity and Excellence
- Mobilizes students through advocacy and leadership development to be involved in shaping the agenda for public schools; and
- Encourages students to build strategic and collaborative relationships throughout the school District and community to advance their plan for change.
Program participants represent Pittsburgh public and charter high schools. They are nominated to participate by other students or adults who see their leadership potential. TeenBloc members accept the challenge of driving the program, organizing themselves and pushing their peers to stretch, sharpen and grow their ability to affect change.
