Student stability rate
Definition: A measure of student stability during one academic year. The student stability rate represents the total number of students enrolled for the entire year divided by the total enrollment for the year.

Interpreting mobility and stability percentages: A low number for the "mobility" percentage and a high number for the "stability" percentage indicates a stable student population.
Students receiving special education services (excluding “gifted”)
Definition: The percentage includes all full-time, part-time, resource, or itinerant students receiving one or more special education services, excluding only the “gifted” classification.

Note about test scores and other information reported as “n/a” or “--”
PPS Reading scores (“Tests given by the district: Percentage of students at Proficient/Advanced levels by race and family income”) were not available by subgroups for first grade. In other cases, subgroup scores are reported as “n/a” when that subgroup had 0-9 students (test scores of fewer than 10 students are not reported by PPS or PDE). Scores are reported as “--” when no one at that grade level was tested in that school.
Note about District Tests:
"Percent tested" was not available for PPS Reading.
Note about PSSA Test Scores:
Third grade PSSA score ranges ("Advanced," "Proficient," and so on) were rounded to zero decimal places.
Note about subgroup information
The state of PA did not report PSSA scores by subgroup for students who are not low-income.
