Teen Bloc (formerly known as Students Engaged in Leadership) is a coalition of student leader and organizers in Pittsburgh’s high schools whose purpose is to raise the student voice and create positive change in Pittsburgh Public Schools.
Programming and leadership training is conducted weekly in partnership with A+ Schools, The Coro Center for Civic Leadership and the Marilyn G Rabb (MGR) Foundation.
How Teen Bloc Advances Equity and Excellence
Program participants represent Pittsburgh public and charter high schools. They are nominated to participate by other students or adults who see their leadership potential. Teen Bloc members accept the challenge of driving the program, organizing themselves and pushing their peers to stretch, sharpen and grow their ability to affect change.
